Part-time (30 hour per week) position based at our Bowling Green Production Kitchen – Monday through Friday 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Examples of duties include: Packaging, prep and delivery of home-delivered and congregate meals, able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds consistently.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a proven record of working harmoniously with older adults as well as colleagues, be eligible for bonding and insurable under agency policy, possess a valid Ohio driver's license with proof of auto coverage (state minimum), must have a minimum of 5 years driving experience and a demonstrated ability to operate large vehicles (CDL not required). Successful candidate must successfully complete required BMV and BCII background checks.

Information Specialist

Provide a welcoming and informative atmosphere for all visitors to the Center, as well as those who call. Provide basic support to other departments.

    Responsibilities to include:
  • 1. Provide information to participants, family members, and others on site, as well as to those who call.
  • 2. Direct issues/requests to appropriate staff persons.
  • 3. Work with staff to identify the Agency's information needs to determine relevant topics and consumer requests.
  • 4. Maintain room reservations log and process requests.
  • 5. Order online supplies and maintain office supplies in an orderly manner. Maintain copy machine and postage meter supplies.
  • 6. Complete and fax to Production Kitchen the daily home-delivered meal changes, by designated time daily.
  • 7. Assist with Golden Buckeye and Senior Farmer's Market Coupon applications.
  • 8. Maintain Lunch Bunch listing. Transport Lunch Bunch clients daily.
  • 9. Receive, date stamp and sort incoming mail.
  • 10. Maintain daily log of cash receipts. Make bank deposit.
  • 11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Essential Skills

Education requirements: High School diploma required. Computer knowledge and proficiency required. Must demonstrate effective communication skills. Minimum Requirements: Must have a proven record of working harmoniously with older adults as well as colleagues. Must be eligible for bonding and insurable under agency policy. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's license with proof of auto insurance (state minimum). Must meet the requirements contained in Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 173-3-06.6 (B)(3). Compliance shall be reviewed not less than annually. Must successfully complete Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) records check, as defined in OAC 173-9-01.

Abilities Required:
Must demonstrate fluency in English, both written and oral. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds consistently.
