Maintenance Coordinator
(Full Time)
Maintenance Coordinator for the Wood County Committee on Aging is a 40 hour per week position. Duties include: Perform custodial services, maintenance, repair and general upkeep of the Wood County Committee on Aging’s Wood County Senior Center and Production Kitchen while maintaining a clean and safe environment for the participants, guests, and employees.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements require a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must understand importance of maintaining sanitary standards for public venues. Must be a self-starter with the ability to assess and prioritize projects. At least 5 years of experience in building maintenance is preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this job. Must have a demonstrated ability to operate large vehicles (does not require CDL).
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a proven record of working harmoniously with older adults as well as colleagues. Must be eligible for bonding and insurable under agency policy. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s license with proof of auto insurance (state minimum). Must meet the requirements contained in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 173-3-06.6 (B)(3). Compliance shall be reviewed not less than annually. Must successfully complete the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) records check, as defined in OAC 173-9-01.
Abilities Required:
Must demonstrate fluency in English, both written and oral. Requires lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, and standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Requires a normal range of hearing and vision.

Program and Wellness Specialist

Program and Wellness Specialist for the Wood County Committee on Aging is a 40 hour per week position. Duties include: Develop, plan, organize, implement and evaluate programs that meet the mission of WCCOA.
Qualifications:
Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Recreation/Leisure Studies, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field or demonstrate equivalent experience in related field. Must be a self-starter and demonstrate creativity, effective public relations and communication skills. Demonstrated computer knowledge and proficiency required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional (all components).

Volunteer Coordinator
(Full Time)
Volunteer Coordinator for the Wood County Committee on Aging is a 40 hour per week position. Duties include: Recruit, provide orientation/train, recognize, and retain volunteers for all WCCOA locations, based upon current agency and community needs.
Qualifications:
Education requirements: Education requirements: High School diploma required. Computer knowledge and proficiency required. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and oral. Must be proficient with basic computer use including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Canva. Must have the ability to function independently or as an active team member in all departments. Must possess proven organizational skills and ability to meet assigned deadlines.

Intermittent Route Driver
(Intermittent)
Intermittent (as needed) position. Examples of duties include: Packaging, prep and delivery of home-delivered meals, and maintaining cleanliness of vehicle and facility. Requires lifting, bending, reaching and standing for extended periods of time, and carrying hot pans/trays of food.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a proven record of working harmoniously with older adults as well as colleagues, be eligible for bonding and insurable under agency policy, possess a valid Ohio driver’s license with proof of auto coverage (state minimum), must have a minimum of 5 years driving experience. Successful candidate must successfully complete BMV and BCII background checks.
