Meal volunteers help with a variety of tasks for meals served Monday through Friday at noon at each of our sites, as well as Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at our Bowling Green location. The Wood County Committee on Aging produces the “Your County Connection” newsletter every month and distributes it to over 2,000 Wood County area residents and organizations. Volunteers who enjoy a social and productive atmosphere are needed to assist with assembling the newsletter each month. Tasks include collating, attaching mailing labels, stapling, and more. This fun group of volunteers meets on the second Friday of each month from 8:30 am until the process is completed at the Wood County Senior Center in Bowling Green.
Time commitment: Varies/flexible. All sites.
Extra hands are needed for special events and programs throughout the year. The Center sponsors several big events including seasonal parties, Senior Day at the Wood County Fair, and many more.
